5 Days / 4 Nights Itinerary
Experience a breathtaking 5-day journey along the scenic southern coastline, exploring sacred temples, historic ghost towns, stunning beaches, and the meeting point of three oceans.
Day 1
Arrival in Madurai & Drive to Rameshwaram
- Arrive in Madurai (airport or railway station).
- Visit the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple in the afternoon.
- Evening drive to Rameshwaram (approx. 3.5 hours) across the scenic Pamban Bridge.
Night Stay: Rameshwaram.
Day 2
Rameshwaram & Dhanushkodi Exploration
- Morning visit to Ramanathaswamy Temple and Agni Theertham beach.
- Take a 4x4 or local transport to Dhanushkodi, the ghost town at land's end.
- Relax at the peaceful Rameshwaram beaches in the evening.
Night Stay: Rameshwaram.
Day 3
Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari (The Border Tip)
- Morning drive south along the coast to Kanyakumari (approx. 5.5 hours).
- Take the ferry to Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue.
- Watch the unique sunset over the confluence of three oceans at Sunset Point.
Night Stay: Kanyakumari.
Day 4
Kanyakumari to Kovalam (Crossing into Kerala)
- Watch the sunrise, then drive across the state border to Kovalam (approx. 2.5 hours).
- En route, stop at the Poovar Island backwaters for a mangrove boat ride.
- Relax on the crescent-shaped Lighthouse Beach in Kovalam.
Night Stay: Kovalam.
Day 5
Kovalam Beaches & Departure
- Enjoy water sports or an Ayurvedic massage by the beach in the morning.
- Visit the nearby Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram).
- Evening departure from Trivandrum International Airport or railway station (15 km from Kovalam).
